Process Capabilities/Engineering

In addition to offering a full array of services to help meet all relevant industry specifications*, Insultab can extrude, cross-link, expand, cut, mark and package tubing for both domestic and international delivery. Insultab’s expert engineering department is available to assist you with speedy product development to help meet even the most demanding timelines and applications. Insultab also offers compounding and material blending services to help meet your unique requirements, from special color matching to custom tubing sizes and wall thicknesses, with additional expertise in expanding large tubing diameters.

Production

Insultab’s state-of-the-art, 90,000 square foot manufacturing facility located in Woburn, MA, is just eleven miles north of Boston. The company specializes in the production, finishing, and packaging of tube extrusions. With decades of proven experience, Insultab’s engineering center continues to develop and maintain molds for a wide variety of industrial applications. From simple to complex – Insultab offers the tubing expertise innovators are seeking. Capabilities include multiple lines of extruders, proprietary expanders with dimensional monitoring, high speed, precision machinery for custom cutting and packaging, and state-of-the-art printing equipment. For specialty applications, materials for shrink and non-shrink tubing applications are compounded and developed to achieve customers’ unique requirements, including special color matching, custom tubing sizes, wall thicknesses and shrink ratios, custom cutting, printing, and packaging. Insultab’s warehouse also maintains unmatched, on-the-shelf inventory levels of standard products available for immediate delivery.

Custom Solutions

On-line, high speed cutting, done during the manufacturing process as the material is coming off the extruders and expanders, provides perfectly straight lengths with no curvature.

Insultab’s in-house, engineered, close-tolerance cutting operations ensure square, burr-free cuts, with tight tolerances for automated assembly operations. Medical Grade heat shrinkable tubing products are custom cut in our Clean Room environment.

Custom Printing

In-house, state-of-the-art printing equipment will brand and identify your tubing. We print one-sided or double-sided logos, company names, contact information, directions, cable capacities, part numbers, warnings, pictures, flow directions, cable capacities, dates, serial numbers, Military Specifications, and more, directly on your tubing and markers in a variety of ink colors.

Custom Packaging

Insultab products are either coiled onto standard size spools, cut to standard lengths or customized to meet specific requirements.
