2:1 Shrink Ratio Cross-linked PVC Heat Shrinkable Tubing

HS-205 PVC PLUSâ„¢

Cross-linked (irradiated) PVC offers all the benefits of PVC heat shrinkable tubing with even greater abrasion and solder iron cut-through resistance, provides outstanding dielectric and mechanical protection and is specifically designed for rugged heat shrink applications and for use with cross-linked PVC jacketed wire and cable.

Features

  • 2:1 shrink ratio
  • Engineered for total compatibility with cross-linked PVC jacketed wire and cable
  • Improved solder iron cut-through and abrasion resistance
  • Longer and less heat-sensitive shelf life
  • 30% stronger than polyolefin
  • Highly flame retardant
  • Resists many chemicals and oils*
  • Resists sunlight, moisture and fungus
  • Highly flexible
  • Meets UL, CSA and Military specifications

* Including chlorinated cleaners, lubricating grease, penetrating oils, electrical insulation oils, and others.

Uses

  • Applications with cross-linked PVC wire and cable
  • Insulation and strain relief of wire harnesses, wire splices, and terminals
  • Soldering applications – tubing won’t shrink back or melt
  • Applications that require ripple-free conformance around sharp bends
  • Applications requiring outstanding dielectric and mechanical protection without damage to enclosed or adjacent components
  • Protecting products – outdoors and indoors – from UV light, fading, harsh chemicals, chlorinated cleansers, moisture, fungus, dirt and abrasion
